North Star COVID Action Plan

North Star Volleyball Club is committed to the health and safety of all our members and participants.  In response to COVID-19, North Star VBC will follow all USAV return to play guidelines (click here to see them) as well as the Public Heath Department of Madison and Dane County (click here to see) which includes but are not limited to the following Precautions and Response Plan:

  •  Attendance tracking for each session

  • Wash hands before play

  • To help prevent injury, we will have ample warm up and stretching

  • Sanitize hands on water breaks

  • Wash hands after play

  • Sanitize all equipment after each session

  • If a COVID case is reported from one of our participants, an email will be sent to the entire club informing families that a case has been reported

  • The session the case was reported in will be cancelled for two full weeks or until all participants in that session have been cleared to play by a doctor or negative COVID test is produced.

Parents, we also ask that you help to keep our children and participants healthy and safe by following these guidelines while taking part in North Star events:

  • Take your child's temperature before each session and do not attend if elevated above normal

  • If your child feels ill, please keep him/her home

  • Provide your child with his/her own water bottle and advise not to share with others

  • Upon arrival, please drop your child off and do not enter the facility

  • Upon pick up, please wait in your car for your child and do not enter the facility

  • Please send sanitizer with your child for his/her own personal use - we will provide sanitizer as well but want to be sure every athlete has ample access

  • Please encourage your child to STRETCH and train at home.  It's been a few months since any of us have stepped foot on a court.  Taking precautions on and off the court help to prevent injury during play

These precautions will be in place until further notice.  As we have all experienced, COVID is a very fluid situation and circumstances may change at any time.  We cannot stress enough that a participant will NOT be penalized for missing days.  Thank you all for understanding, participating and keeping our children safe!
